Sun in 7th house from Lagna or Ascendant is generally Not Considered a Good Placement in Vedic Astrology. But for Different Sign and Ascendant the result will be different. In Same Cases it will give Beneficial or Favourable Result and in Some Cases it Will give inauspicious results.

Whenever you will see Sun in 7th house in any chart, you can understand that the person has born during evening time. As Sun Sets in during the evening time and Sunlight is not very Strong, So Sun is not very Powerful in the this House. It is not one of the Favourite houses where you want this Planet.
Sun is a very Hot and Fiery Planet. So it has a tendency to Burn the House which it occupies.
But this is Not completely True. There are Lot of Positive Results of this Placement and Lot of Negative too. But to understand these Good and Bad results, You Need to Know About Sun and 7th House.
The 7th house is one of the 4 Kendra houses of our chart and The Kendra Houses are Like Pillar. They Gives Support to your chart. Similarly Sun is the King of this Zodiac. So position of Sun in seventh house Means an Important Planet in an Important House. King is in an Important Position and if it is Strong, it can give good Support to you but if it is Weak, it can create a Lot of Damage. The 7th house Sun has both good and bad effect but in general, this is not a good placement for Relationship. It is one of the worst placement for Marital happiness considering all other factors equal.

Inauspicious or Negative Result of Surya in the 7th House
Sun will give inauspicious results if it is Debilitated or Afflicted by Malefic Planets Like Saturn , Rahu or Ketu. Sun is weak in Virgo, Taurus, Libra, Gemini, Capricorn, Aquarius Signs.
If Sun is Weak in 7th House, it can definitely give you lot of ego and pride. It will not be easy for you to make compromises in life. As Sun is a very hot planet, wherever he will sit, it will burn one or more significance of that house for sure.
Sun being a separative planet, its placement in 7th house is not good for marital life. It will be more prominent when Sun is further afflicted by Mars or Saturn or Rahu. Even Divorce or Separation is also Possible.
If Sun is debilitated or in enemy sign, bad result can be expected. You will not be able to get Govt job, can have problem with father, you can also face trouble with your Business Partner. These bad results will be felt more during the Dasha and Antardasha of Sun.

Effect of Sun in 7th House in Marriage
When Sun is in the 7th house, marriage is going to be delayed. But with only one placement it can not be confirmed. Generally the Marriage Age is between 27-28 for female and for Male it can be 30-31 with this Placement.

But with this placement, you can not be completely happy in relationship. Because Sun is ego and 7th house sun brings Ego in relationship. Ego is never a good factor in case of Love and Relationship.
It is possible that you want a partner from very good back ground, a person whom you can feel proud. Some way your inner sense of pride is involved while selecting Marriage partner.
With Sun in 7th house Marriage partner can be admired or respected in Society.
Sun is a separative planet and being a very hot planet, does not give marital happiness. Your Marriage will be ruined because of Ego clash and dominating nature of your spouse. A relationship where one is Superior or tries to dominate the other person will not work with this Placement of Sun.

When Sun Occupies 7th house in a female horoscope it is more detrimental than Male Horoscope. Female or Girls are Known as Griha Lakshmi in Our Hindu Society or Vedic Culture. They are the main driving force of the Family.
